DERMAPLANING & CHEMICAL PEEL SKIN TREATMENT
When It comes to Aesthetic Skin Treatments designed to give your skin a boost, there have never been more options. From dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections, to derma planing and chemical peels, there are a range of treatments designed to re-hydrate and nourish the skin, as well as reduce the signs of skin ageing. Some treatments can even be combined to achieve the best possible results. These include derma planing and chemical peels. So why should you combine derma planing with a chemical peel? And what are the benefits you can expect from this?
WHAT IS DERMAPLANING? So, first of all, what is dermaplaning? Well, this is a treatment option that involves removing all the dead skin cells and villus hair from the face with a surgical scalpel. This process can trigger cell rejuvenation as once the old dead skin cells are removed, new skin cells will be generated. WHAT IS A CHEMICAL PEEL? A chemical peel is similar to a dermaplaning treatment in some ways, as this is also a process that triggers cell rejuvenation and deep exfoliation. During this treatment an enzyme or chemical will be applied to your face, and then removed, also removing any dead skin and the very outermost layer of skin cells. As a result, the growth of new skin cells will be triggered. WHY SHOULD YOU COMBINE DERMAPLANING WITH A CHEMICAL PEEL? So, what happens when these two processes are combined? Well, following a dermaplaning treatment, with a chemical peel can bring a range of advantages, including: Deeper penetration of the chemical peel – because the dermaplaning treatment removes the dead skin cells, the chemical peel can then penetrate into deeper skin levels, improving the effects. This can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as help reduce the other signs of ageing and the effects of sun damage. Skin care products become more effective – because of the deep level of exfoliation created when combining these two different aesthetic treatments, any skin products you use will be more effective. These two will penetrate deeper into your skin, helping to nourish and hydrate skin tissue more effectively. Radiant glowing skin – combining dermaplaning with a chemical peel can leave your skin radiant and glowing. The effects of using these two methods combined are greatly improved, when compared to the results of using only one of these aesthetic treatments. More even results – not only will your skin be more radiant, with a brighter glow, but combining these two treatments also means that you will see more even results across the whole face. This is because the dermaplaning allows the chemical peel to work equally, over every region of the face. Following your treatment you will be given aftercare to follow, please note there is very little down time after this treatment. You may have a little bit of redness immediately after your treatment, this will subside after a few hours at the most. Your skin will not "peel off" as many seem to think. You may notice some slight flaking in the days following your treatment, but this is minima to none and by applying moisturiser you will diminish this. We do advise that you don't wear make-up for 24 after your treatment. |
